The Print Output Engineer is responsible for creating and maintaining map rules for customer correspondence, development and execution of print jobs, support, planning, implementation and monitoring of systems across various platforms. This includes the understanding of standard engineering patterns in one domain. This role will use VDE Scripting which is similar to C / C++ or other scripting languages to execute print jobs for Assurant’s business units.

What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?
  • Supporting all lines of business that are producing customer print that is sent to out print vendor or the service centers for printing and mailing.
  • Monitoring daily print cycles to ensure proper execution.
  • Creating new scripting for new clients.
  • Modifying existing scripts when required changes are requested by the line of business or client.
  • Trouble shooting any issues that may arise and assist line of business with a permanent resolution.
  • On-call 24/7 support is required on a rotating basis


What are the requirements needed for this position? 
  • 2+ years of experience working with BlueCrest print software, Pitney Bowes, Emtex, Crawford Conductor, Crawford Designer, or other enterprise printing software. 5+ years of experience with BlueCrest is preferred.
  • 2+ years working with Output Manager, Enterprise Manager, VDE Scripting or similar.
  • 1+ years of software programming using C, C++, Python, PHP, JavaScript or similar programming languages.
  • Strong communication acumen both orally and written, service oriented, ability to build strong working relationships, executes work requirements with some guidance.
  • High School Diploma or GED. Undergraduate degree in MIS and Computer Science preferred.


Pay Range: $84,100.00 – $140,500.00


Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
