About the Role:

Job Summary

Responsible for the enterprise-wide analytical support for billing and reimbursement-related issues. Position serves as a payer liaison and keeps others in the organization informed about coding and billing policy changes.


Minimum Job Qualifications
  • Licensure or other certifications:


  • Educational Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Management Information Systems or a related discipline.

  • Minimum Experience: Three (3) years experience in Physician Practice Management or Healthcare Reimbursement.

Job Specific and Unique Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Must work independently under the direction of the Reimbursement Manager.




Essential Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Provide research and data analysis to answer questions, find trends, and monitor billing scenarios utilizing reporting and database query tools. Prepare and present reports & analysis relating to billing and reimbursement to clients in the patient accounting and clinical department areas.



  • Assist NGPG physicians, employees, and staff with questions relating to reimbursement and billing. Provide education on procedural and diagnostic coding, and improvements in billing procedures in order to maximize reimbursement and minimize payer denials.

  • Establish and maintain relationships with carriers. Update program manuals and review payer materials in order to stay current with any policy changes. Educate staff on any policy changes or updated billing procedures.



  • Review and keep abreast of changes in diagnostic and procedural coding as well as documentation requirements. Conduct ongoing education for NGPS physicians and staff as needed.

  • Serve on committees and task forces. Attend meetings and seminars as needed.
