Local Class A Driver

Davis Cartage Company is hiring a Class A Driver for local work out of our Niles, Michigan Terminal. Qualified candidates must have two years of verifiable experience, a clean MVR and pass a DOT physical. This position is days Monday through Friday with weekends off and paid weekly at $28 per hour (straight time). Drivers are home daily. Benefits begin on day one and include medical, dental, vision, as well as disabilty, life insurance, 401k with company match, paid time off, monthly safety bonus and more. The equipment is new Cascadia Freightliners (day cab) and 53′ dry vans. Skills: Proficient in operating combination CMV and 53′ van trailers, safety awareness, comply with HOS regulations, route planning, pre-trip and post- trip inspections, load securement, on time and accurate pick up and deliveries, strong communication skills, time management, adaptability, strong work ethic, professionalism, complete paperwork accuately, exhibit good docking and backing skills.

Requirements: Valid Class A CDL and clean driving record, two years of verifiable experience and able to pass a DOT physical
