Your New Role As a Sheet Metal Journeyman:

• Spend 50% of your time fabricating in the shop and 50% in the field, primarily within Sarasota and Manatee counties.

• Interpret blueprints and job orders, order materials to maintain an efficient workflow, and establish work sequences to meet construction schedules.

  
  

• Measure, fabricate, and skillfully work with ductwork using tools, metals, and machinery.

• Sort, lay out, assemble, and seal materials, adjusting work sequences as needed.

  
  

• Estimate man-hour requirements and maintain a safe working environment.

• You are skilled in welding and can interpret blueprints and job orders.

• Valid Florida driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and ability to pass a drug screen and background check.

  
  

• Five years of experience in sheet metal installation and fabrication, with experience in welding.

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.

  
  

• Good coordination, physical fitness, and dexterity, with the ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly.

• Ability to pass a shop-based skills test.
