Our ideal new team member has some or all of the skills below.
- Able to execute work autonomously.
- Advanced knowledge of the following workstation operating systems
- Windows Workstation Operating system (8.1 and newer)
- Mac OS (11 – Big Sur and newer)
- Advanced knowledge and troubleshooting of the following networking concepts.
- LAN / WLAN / WAN: Topologies, troubleshooting.
- TCP/IP
- SMTP
- VPN
- DNS (private and public)
- Knowledge and troubleshooting of workstation hardware.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge and troubleshooting of Windows Servers including the following roles:
- Active Directory administration of users and groups
- Print Services
- DNS and DHCP roles
- Azure AD Connect concepts.
- File Services
- Experience with Microsoft Azure (servers, networking, ect.)
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of the following Microsoft 365 services
- Troubleshooting and administration of Azure Active Directory
- Managing licensing for Microsoft 365 tenancies
- Managing Microsoft 365 users and groups
- Exchange Online troubleshooting and administration
- SharePoint online troubleshooting and administration
- Security & Compliance troubleshooting and administration
- InTune configuration and troubleshooting
- Working with Microsoft support to resolve more complex issues
- Knowledge of Mobile Device Managment (Intune, Addigy, JAMF), for iOS and Android.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of backup solutions and concepts including.
- Installing backup agents
- Scheduling backups
- Recovering files
- Troubleshooting failed backups
- Basic understanding of Windows PowerShell for the following
- Active Directory
- Exchange Online
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of ConnectWise Automate concepts including the following (can be trained):
- Using and troubleshooting Automate scripts
- Installing patches using patch manager
- Active Directory Manager
- Webroot Plug-In
Nice to haves:
– Cisco certifications
– Azure AZ certifications
– Microsoft MS certifications
– Past experience with a managed service provider (MSP).
