Reports to: Director of Finance

Position Overview: Columbia Orthopaedic Group is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Financial Analyst to join our finance team. This role will primarily focus on accounting functions while also incorporating data analysis to support key financial decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance or accounting, exceptional Microsoft Excel skills, and the ability to interpret complex financial data.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform accounting duties, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end
  • close processes.
  • Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, variances, and insights that
  • inform strategic decisions.
  • Prepare and present detailed financial reports for management, highlighting key
  • performance indicators and actionable recommendations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop budgets, forecasts, and financial
  • models.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements specific to
  • the healthcare industry.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
  • Utilize advanced Excel functions and financial software to enhance data analysis and
  • reporting efficiency.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, preferably within the healthcare or medical
  • sector.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Experience in working with multiple legal entities under various legal umbrellas.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to create complex spreadsheets, perform
  • data analysis, and develop financial models.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey financial information
  • clearly to stakeholders.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
