Phlebotomist I, CMC Per Diem

Responsible for collecting specimens such as blood, tissue and urine and process the samples for the lab.

Principal Accountabilities:

1. Accesses, labels, and processes laboratory specimens.
2. Performs patient registrations and orders lab tests in computer.
3. Answers phone calls for laboratory information.
4. Produces lab reports, sorts, and delivers,
5. Picks up lab specimen from various hospital procedure areas.
6. Processes and packs lab specimens for transport.
7. Performs other related duties as assigned.
8. Responsible for maintaining stock rooms including delivery and shipment of all supplies and packages and assuring they are in the appropriate container and temperature. Closing out purchase orders for all lab cost centers. Ensure supplies are organized. Deliver supplies to appropriate departments when received.
