Position Overview:
We seek an experienced Project Coordinator with a consistent track record of supporting sophisticated software delivery projects in the transportation industry with a preference for that experience in the rail industry. Experience with Dispatch Control Systems and Network Optimization solutions is also preferred. In most cases, the Project Coordinator assists project managers with specific administrative tasks related to their assigned projects. They organize and communicate all the details of projects and specific assignments to team members and serve as liaisons between those team members, the customer, and the project manager.
What your day-to-day will look like:
- Support the development of project plans, including generating project schedules through the use of Microsoft Project.
- Monitor and drive intermediary and overall project goals by performing the tasks assigned by the project manager.
- Support customer meetings to drive the necessary actions and inputs required to be performed by the customer
- Generate internal and external status reports
- Track and report on project KPIs
- Lead project meetings at the direction of the assigned Project Manager
- Document processes
- Create and maintain Meeting Minutes
- Use appropriate verification techniques to handle changes in project scope, schedule, and costs.
- Build and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
- Conducted project postmortems and crafted a recommendation report to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
- Ability to lead/direct emergency support calls due to requirements of the contract that call for after-hour backing in the event of an emergency (24X7X365)
To thrive in this role, you have:
- 2+ years experience in generating project schedules
- PM Certification is highly desired
- Rail Industry experience is highly desired
- Experience supporting software delivery projects is mandatory
- Willing to work primarily from the client’s office in Jacksonville, Florida.
- Experience interfacing with customers and leading customer interactions.

The base salary range for this position in Alpharetta, GA is $82,000 – 96,400. The salary may be higher or lower depending on the budget and the candidate’s experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
