Simulation Engineer – Manufacturing

Siemens Fort Worth is a new plant currently in the process of designing new manufacturing processes and is looking for a Simulation Engineer. One of the primary roles of this position is advanced analytical skills and experience utilizing simulation tools to identify bottle necks, validate improvements, substantiate value propositions, and identify new areas of opportunity. Factory Simulation to model a new highly automated plant to validate and optimize the layout and configuration.In addition, this person will be responsible for capacity analysis, identification of bottlenecks, machine efficiency improvements, ergonomics, buffer validation, etc.

You’ll make an impact by:

• Directing other industrial engineers to gather necessary input for the factory simulation.
• Leading the validation of the factory simulation results to verify in the physical environment.
• Factory Simulation experience, necessarily in Tecnomatix Plant Simulation or similar tool
• Interpret results from factory simulation to drive the design of a factory
• Build the factory simulation using diverse inputs: demand, part definition, machine specs, time studies, physical layouts

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree required, Computer Science or Industrial Engineering.
• Lean manufacturing / Six Sigma experience (Green/Black belt preferred)
• Use of other modeling and statistical tools (e.g., Minitab, MATLAB)
• Programming (e.g., Python, C, Java)
• Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis.

• The pay range for this position is $ $82,320 – $141,120. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
