Overview:

As a Lease Operator, you will be responsible for monitoring and optimizing all production and injection wells. This includes managing all process variables, ensuring that all production equipment operates at peak reliability and efficiency, and acquiring and storing data. The role requires technical skills and knowledge to ensure the smooth operation of equipment in the oil and gas industry.



Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and optimize all production and injection wells.
  • Perform duties associated with oil and gas producing operations, including but not limited to:
    • Plunger lift wells
    • Process equipment
    • Compression
    • Dehydration
    • Optimizing artificial lift systems
    • Testing wells
    • Acquiring fluid level information
    • Record keeping and data input
    • Monitoring computer control systems
    • Testing safety devices
    • Operating and monitoring SCADA
    • Partnering with other employees and contractors to ensure that all equipment is operating at peak efficiency
    • Utilizing Computerized Maintenance Management System to create work orders for inventory and work planning/prioritization
    • Driving on a routine basis
    • Other duties as assigned



Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of operations experience in oil and gas or related petrochemical industries, including experience with regulations and the maintenance and testing requirements associated with related safety devices preferred. Will accept entry level candidates local to Bowman, ND area or Baker, MT.
  • In-depth understanding of upstream facilities including but not limited to: separation, pumping, gathering, tankage, LACT sales, metering, and compression.
  • Broad knowledge of and ability to troubleshoot and maintain major oil and gas production facility process systems including: mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and production equipment.
  • Capable of simultaneously performing multiple tasks with limited supervision.
  • Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with a diverse team of coworkers, contractors, and internal and external customers.
  • High School Diploma or GED required. College Degree or Technical training preferred.
  • Valid US Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
  • Must be able to meet all conditional job offer requirements including background, drug, hair follicle, MVR, agility and fit for duty.
  • Physical Requirements – Must be able to lift 40 lbs., climb ladders and stairs. Walking, bending stooping is required. Must be able to wear personal protective equipment. Must be able to respond to visual and audible alarms.
  • Understanding of importance of environmental and safe work practices.
