Job Title: Restorative Certified Nursing Assistant

Summary:
The Restorative Certified Nursing Assistant performs patient-related restorative nursing functions as predetermined and assigned by the Restorative Nurse, in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards.
Salary:$45,000 – $55,000 per year (dependent on location)
Key Responsibilities:
- Makes independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
- Knowledgeable of practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines governing functions in post-acute care facilities
- Implements and interprets programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the department
- Performs proficiently in all competency areas, including patient rights and safety and sanitation
- Maintains professional working relationships with associates, vendors, etc.
- Maintains confidentiality of proprietary and/or confidential information
- Understands and follows company policies, including harassment and compliance procedures
- Displays integrity and professionalism by adhering to Life Care’s Code of Conduct and completes mandatory Code of Conduct and other appropriate compliance training
Essential Functions:
- Lifts, turns, moves, positions, and transports patients
- Assists patients with baths, showers, personal grooming, feeding, and toileting
- Accurately documents and charts patient care
- Responds to call lights promptly
- Provides physician-ordered exercise to each patient
- Exhibits excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients
- Assists in the evacuation of patients
- Demonstrates dependable, regular attendance
- Concentrates and uses reasoning skills and good judgment
- Communicates and functions productively on an interdisciplinary team
- Sits, stands, bends, lifts, pushes, pulls, stoops, walks, reaches, and moves intermittently during working hours
- Reads, writes, speaks, and understands the English language
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of a State-approved CNA program
- Currently registered/licensed in applicable state
- Must maintain an active license in good standing throughout employment
- Completed restorative nursing training
- One (1) year geriatric nursing experience preferred
- CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation
