Immediate need for Wind Turbine Technicians Level 3 or 4 with Borescoping Experience
As a Wind Turbine Service Technician Level 3 or 4 Borescoping Technician, you will be responsible for borescoping gearboxes in Wind Turbines
- Travel to and work at wind farms in Alberta or Saskatchewan Canada
- Lead borescoping projects on wind turbines
- Independently perform borescoping of gear boxes and main bearings
- Maintain, safeguard and inspect borescoping equipment
- Work safely, competently and productively under the direction of others
- Keep records, maintain documentation and report technical and safety issues
Must meet the following requirements, have or obtain the listed required certifications and training (may be provided) including, but not limited to:
- Must have 2+ years of successful experience performing borescope inspection
- Local to Canada (prefer Alberta) or authorized to work in Canada
- Ability to work an 8 week on, 1 week off rotation
- Physically able to safely climb wind turbines up to 90m+ (300+ feet), stand, stoop, walk, crawl, crouch, stoop and generally meet the physical demands of the position.
- Must have knowledge of hand cameras/borescope tools
- Must have knowledge of single, double, and/or triple planetary gearbox
- Must have basic knowledge of bearing/gear damage nomenclature
- Valid and current driving license with a satisfactory driving record
- Must be 21 years of age to be able to drive a company vehicle
- Must be able to proficiently read, write and speak English
- Satisfactory criminal background check
- GWO BST (Basic Safety Training) – fire awareness, working at heights, manual handling, first aid
- GWO BTT (Basic Technical Training) – electrical, hydraulic, mechanical
- Crane, Chain Hoist and Rigging Safety Training
- NFPA 70E Arc-Flash Awareness or similar
- Prefer training or experience with Touchscreen Controller Hand Terminals
