Job Summary

As a new nurse, you will play a important role in healthcare. You will assess patients, identify needs, and create care plans. Evaluate patient responses for safety. This role is ideal for new Registered Nurses in hospital inpatient and outpatient departments open 24/7. It’s also suitable for departments with on-call staffing for off-shifts. These departments may include hospital-specific and outpatient procedural sections like gastroenterology labs, pain management, dialysis, infusion centers, and intravenous services.



What You’ll Do

  • Evaluate patient health conditions using clinical reasoning. Identify, prioritize, and address needs of patients and families. Develop care plans to improve health outcomes.
  • Regularly evaluate nursing practices. Improve healthcare quality using research and learning experiences.
  • Create a caring environment. Build connections with patients and families.
  • Manage emotional and physical pain to promote relief, healing, and reduce suffering.
  • Acknowledge and respect the unique differences of patients and families, incorporating these into customized care plans.
  • Advocate for patient privacy and rights. Represent their interests and values effectively to create a meaningful plan.
  • Promote learning among patients, families, nursing staff, and the wider community. You will establish and document learning needs and outcomes.
  • Work with peers and community to create care plan. Assign tasks, get feedback promptly.
  • Use problem-solving strategies wisely with consideration for scarce resources and focus on safety, effectiveness, and efficiency in patient care.
  • Be involved in decision-making processes. Acknowledge contributions of all. Contribute to peers’ development. Provide value to community.

What Will Make You Successful In The Role


  • Demonstrates insight into established nursing and patient care practices.
  • Broad understanding of related laws, regulations, certification standards, and hospital/departmental policies.
  • Comfortable with medical lingo, with an emphasis on promoting health, mitigating risks, and managing illnesses and diseases.
  • Observes and respects professional nursing ethics and respects patients’ confidentiality rights.
  • Articulate in conveying thoughts and ideas, both verbally and in writing.
  • Possesses interpersonal skills to engage with a diverse range of personalities.
  • Shows proficiency in deciphering problems and forming solutions.
  • Can detect alterations in a patient’s medical status and effectively liaise with colleagues and healthcare providers.
  • Skilled in designing, assessing and adjusting patient care plans based on the patients’ requirements.
  • Competent in utilizing standard office software, digital medical records, scheduling and payroll systems.

Qualifications

  • You should have completed a program from a recognized institution, or have at least 2 years of related professional experience.
  • Your major should be in Nursing.
  • Some professional experience in the field is appreciated, even if it’s less than a year.
  • Registered Nurse.
  • Basic life support (BLS). If you haven’t done this yet, you must complete within 30 days.
