BOOST is assisting our client, DSE, Inc. to recruit for a dynamic Software Systems Engineer to work 100% onsite located in Patuxent River, MD. DSE, Inc is a team of experienced professionals dedicated to engineering, training and program management to enable front-line soldiers, sailors and Marines to fully exploit the tactical capabilities of aviation and maritime platforms. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Position Summary:

The Software Systems Engineer will provide comprehensive technical and engineering support services for Air Combat Electronics program office at NAVAIR (PMA-209). This role requires expertise in both software and hardware systems, with a thorough understanding of the Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR) process. The Software Systems Engineer will contribute to the development and review of Systems Engineering documentation (e.g., Systems Engineering Plans, specifications) and facilitate SETR events (e.g., SRR, SFR, PDR, CDR, TRR). Additionally, the Software Systems Engineer will analyze customer requirements against specifications and support a range of engineering activities to ensure project success.

Responsibilities:

• Apply engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, and design, develop, implement, test or evaluate military weapons systems.

• Review and prepare engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other relevant technical documentation.

• Support system integration, configuration management, quality assurance testing, and acquisition/resource management.

• Analyzes designs, develops, implements, tests or evaluates products related to engineering or functional requirements of military weapons systems.

• Develop and document procedures, work instructions and design practices criteria to standardize work product deliverables.

• Evaluate technical specifications and assess compliance with applicable performance requirements.

• Provide recommendations and inputs for test plans, procedures, and other critical engineering deliverables.

Education:

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Math, Physics, Computer Science, or an Engineering Discipline is required.
• Four-year ABET accredited Engineering Degree is preferred.

Required Experience:

• 3-10 years' experience

• Strong oral and written communication skills.

• Familiarity with Department of Defense (DoD) Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR) processes.

• Knowledge of Naval Test Procedures and military standards.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Salary Range: $117K-$140K (Salary commensurate with experience)

This is 100% onsite located in Patuxent River, MD. Applicant must reside in the US and be authorized to work in the US.
