The Assistant Operations Manager supports the daily operations of the hotel, assisting in overseeing various departments and ensuring a smooth guest experience. This role involves coordinating with multiple departments, handling guest inquiries, managing staff, and ensuring adherence to hotel policies and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Support: Assist the Operations Manager in overseeing hotel operations, ensuring quality service and operational efficiency across all departments, including the front desk, housekeeping, food & beverage, and maintenance.
- Staff Assistance: Support in the training, scheduling, and performance management of staff to ensure optimal team performance and high guest satisfaction.
- Guest Service Management: Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests, ensuring that issues are resolved promptly and professionally.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct regular checks to ensure all hotel areas meet cleanliness, safety, and service standards.
- Budget and Cost Control: Assist in managing operational budgets, monitor expenses, and ensure adherence to financial targets.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure the hotel complies with all health, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Process Improvement: Collaborate with the Operations Manager to implement best practices and streamline operations for increased efficiency.
- Reports and Documentation: Assist in preparing reports on operational performance, guest feedback, and departmental metrics for senior management.
- Special Projects: Take on special projects or initiatives assigned by the Operations Manager, including process improvements or operational audits.
This is a salaried position with compensation ranging from $64,484 to $74,100. The final offer will be determined based on factors such as education and previous experience.

Qualifications
- A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- At least 2-3 years of experience in hotel operations, preferably with a background in management or supervision.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership and management abilities.
- Knowledge of hotel management software and property management systems (PMS).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Must be able to handle emergency situations as they arise.
- Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
- Occasional lift, pull, push up to moderate weight.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule of AM or PM shifts, holidays and weekends.
