Unity Lab Services offers a comprehensive solution for coordinated lab service, support, and supply management. Our tailored service offerings and expert service guides have the adaptability and expertise to effectively meet our customer’s laboratory business requirements.
What you will do:
- Performs stockroom duties that include receiving, put-away, stock rotation, detailed replenishment, and other functions according to customer requirements, with the assistance of inventory software.
- Collaborate with cross-functional team members to deliver friendly, efficient service.
- Follow well-defined procedures as outlined by Best Practices, SOPs & work instructions.
- Take direction from Supervisor and Team Lead regarding daily duties.
- Perform laboratory services such as order delivery, equipment upkeep, and support for instrument service.
- Work with computer systems to access and follow standard operating procedures.
- Proactively connect with the supervisor any customer concerns and/or potential problems.
- Reliably address customer concerns within established resolution timeframes.
- Embrace Practical Process Improvement (PPI) methodologies.
- May perform other responsibilities as assigned by management.

Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience
- Experience managing inventory preferred.
- Experience working in a laboratory setting is helpful.
- Experience working in customer service is also a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
- Able to work safely and independently in a laboratory and office environment.
- Phenomenal verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong desire to serve the customer, and the interpersonal skills to collaborate with various levels of personnel at the customer site. This includes maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor in all interactions.
- Comfort with computers and basic skills in Microsoft Office suite of software.
- Able to learn and grow a knowledge of laboratory supplies.
Physical Requirements / Work Environment
- Works primarily at customer sites, which may require independent work. Work areas may include spaces where chemical-based allergens are in use (such as penicillin, tetracycline, etc.).
- Depending on the area of the building, personal protective equipment may be worn, including lab coats, gloves, safety-toe shoes, and safety glasses.
- Requires the ability to lift, push, and pull 30-40 pounds consistently; may be required to lift or move 50 pounds occasionally, including use of pushcarts.
- Regularly required to stand or walk for prolonged periods.
