What You Will Do:
The Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Operational Excellence, Supply Chain will provide strategic leadership and direction for the continuous improvement of supply chain operations. This role is responsible for driving operational efficiency, reducing costs, improving quality, and enhancing overall supply chain performance. The AVP will lead a team and collaborate across various functions to implement best practices and achieve strategic objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive operational excellence strategy for the supply chain, aligning with overall business objectives and strategic priorities. Identify opportunities for improvement across the supply chain and develop action plans to achieve desired results.
- Program Development: Design and implement operational excellence programs and initiatives focused on key areas such as lean principles, Six Sigma methodologies, process improvement, and change management.
- Performance Measurement: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and monitor the effectiveness of operational excellence initiatives. Develop Visual Management and reports to communicate progress to senior management.
- Process Optimization: Lead cross-functional teams to analyze, design, and implement process improvements across the supply chain, including planning, sourcing, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, warehousing, and distribution.
- Technology Implementation: Evaluate and implement new technologies and tools to enhance supply chain efficiency, optimize processes, and improve data analysis. This may include supply chain management software, warehouse management systems (WMS), transportation management systems (TMS), and other relevant technologies.
- Data Analysis & Analytics: Leverage data analytics to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement within the supply chain. Develop data-driven insights to support decision-making and optimize performance.
- Team Management: Lead, manage, and mentor a team of operational excellence professionals, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and high performance.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including sales, marketing, finance, and IT, to ensure alignment and effective implementation of operational excellence initiatives.
- Continuous Improvement Culture: Champion a culture of continuous improvement throughout the supply chain organization, promoting best practices, and encouraging employee engagement in process optimization.
- Best Practice Implementation: Research and implement industry best practices and emerging trends in supply chain operational excellence, incorporating relevant innovations into the organization’s strategies.
- Change Management: Lead and manage change effectively, ensuring buy-in and adoption of new processes and technologies across the supply chain.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the budget for operational excellence initiatives, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
What We Are Looking For:
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management , Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field. MBA or Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role focused on operational excellence.
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification strongly preferred.
- Proven track record of successfully leading and implementing operational excellence initiatives within a supply chain environment.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and motivate teams.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Experience managing budgets and resources.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, data analysis tools, and supply chain management software.

Salary Range: $147,100-$213,300
