Universal Banker/Teller

Full Time Onsite Position in Crowley, LA



Duties/Teller:

  • Record night deposit bags
  • Have customer sign book when receiving bags
  • Accept deposits of cash items
  • Verify Cash
  • Handle savings deposits and withdrawals
  • Balance cash drawer each day
  • Promote the bank’s services and cross-sell bank products
  • Make concerted effort to solve customer issues
  • Accept loan coupons and Christmas Club payments
  • Cash checks
  • Verify currency, mix new currency, and wrap coins
  • Type CTRs when needed
  • Perform special duties as required
  • Operate coin machine

Duties/Customer Service

  • Explain the different types of accounts available to customers and assist in the selection of the most appropriate one for their needs
  • Open personal or business accounts and prepare all related documentation
  • Assist customer with requests or complaints and research account problems
  • Assist customer to reconcile checkbook
  • Complete necessary forms for customers to have their checks directly deposited
  • Transfer funds to various accounts
  • Cross-sell the bank’s services
  • Assist customers with Electronic Banking needs; such as Internet Banking and Debit Card applications
  • Assist customers with REG E issues; such as unauthorized debit card transactions


Duties/Wires

  • Wire transfers – Incoming and Outgoing
  • Verify wires
  • Prepare and process drafts for collection, incoming and outgoing

Must be willing to travel to branch offices when necessary


Qualifications:

  • Candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent certificate and have cash handling experience
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently
