Position Overview
Responsible for driving SaaS and Hybrid SaaS revenue growth within the Medical Device and Pharmaceutical industries by generating subscription and follow-on services sales to meet ARR targets. Leverages a strategic, value-based sales approach to develop and execute multi-channel account strategies for Named Accounts and New Logo prospects.

  • Identify and address industry-specific challenges, tailoring value-driven solutions to customer needs.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and partners to execute account strategies and drive business growth.
  • Serve as the primary contact for account knowledge while mentoring junior sales team members and sharing insights.

Key Responsibilities


Account Planning

  • Define short-term goals for named accounts to achieve software and services revenue targets.
  • Develop account-specific strategies aligned with customer buyer journeys, ensuring optimal allocation of resources.
  • Identify and execute go-to-market channels, campaigns, and tactics to meet account goals.

Team Orchestration


  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to ensure cohesive execution of sales plans.
  • Lead matrixed teams, including internal resources and partners, to move opportunities through the sales pipeline.
  • Deliver tailored value-based messaging aligned with the customer’s business objectives.

Prospecting and Discovery

  • Manage a personal pipeline of leads and suspects, qualifying opportunities to meet revenue targets.
  • Conduct targeted campaigns and develop new customer relationships to identify challenges and propose solutions.
  • Evaluate customer requirements, determine ROI, and assess risks to drive informed sales decisions.

Opportunity Management


  • Guide customers through the buying process, highlighting the value of Siemens solutions.
  • Develop stakeholder strategies and build influential networks within customer accounts.
  • Monitor adoption and success metrics post-sale, ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term value realization.

Sales Administration, Analytics, and Reporting

  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts and customer records using Salesforce and other CRM tools.
  • Analyze win/loss outcomes to identify actionable improvements.
  • Prepare bid responses and reports for management to support sales strategy refinement.

Mentoring and Knowledge Sharing


  • Participate in internal interest groups and share insights on customer trends, solutions, and best practices.
  • Mentor junior sales team members to strengthen overall team capability.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Education, and Experience

  • Expertise in SaaS and software sales processes, CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), and digital industry software.
  • Strong skills in conflict management, negotiation, facilitation, and analytical problem-solving.
  • Business acumen with the ability to lead customer relationships and deliver compelling presentations.

  • Proven track record in manufacturing software sales, including SaaS, preferably in the medical device and/or pharmaceutical industries.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance new logo acquisition (70%) with existing account expansion and renewals (30%).

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Marketing, or Sales (or equivalent experience).

Other Requirements


  • Domestic travel up to 50%.
  • Experience working with 15-20 small to medium accounts, managing a personal sales quota.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and standard business tools.

The total cash compensation range for this position is $106,100 to $212,200 with 50% of this being comprised of an annual incentive target. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate’s work location as well as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
