Job Title: Bandsaw/Forklift Operator

Location: Verdigris, OK



Pay: $18/hr

Shift: Days | Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:45 PM (45-minute lunch)


Employment Type: Temp to Hire


Purpose

The Bandsaw/Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe operation of an automatic Cosen vertical band saw, ensuring accurate cutting of steel stock to specified lengths and measurements.

Key Responsibilities


  • Read and interpret basic blueprints to ensure accurate cuts.
  • Operate a forklift to unload raw materials from semi-trucks and store materials properly.
  • Maintain equipment and ensure a clean and safe work environment at all times.
  • Perform basic preventative maintenance on saw equipment.
  • Contribute to team efforts by achieving related operational goals.


Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of trade tools, equipment, materials, tape measures, and techniques for safe band saw operation.
  • Understanding of Lock-Out/Tag-Out procedures.
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve minor issues.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints accurately.
  • Steel toe boots/shoes are required.
  • Mandatory use of safety glasses.

Physical Demands


  • Frequent standing, bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
  • Ability to perform tasks requiring simple grasping and fine motor manipulations.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs consistently.
