Core Responsibilities of a Certified Medication Aide
- Accurately administer medications to patients as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Monitor and document patient reactions to medications.
- Ensure medications are stored properly and maintain accurate records according to facility protocols.
- Assist with patient care tasks including feeding, bathing, and mobility as assigned.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Qualifications Required for a Certified Medication Aide
- 1+ years of experience in Certified Medication Aide or Clinical Documentation
- Completion of a state-approved Certified Medication Aide training program.
- Active Certified Medication Aide certification in good standing.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow medication administration instructions diligently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
