Description:Perform a wide variety of production assembly, development and repair/refurbishment work on complex mechanical and electronic assemblies.
This involves mechanical as well as electrical wiring operations; includes fitting and alignment of parts to close tolerances using appropriate hand and power tools.
Work outside as necessary.
Instruct/train co-workers in same or lower classifications on process and equipment operation.
Must work with engineering drawings, schematics, connection diagrams, parts lists, and informal documentation such as engineering sketches, notes, diagrams.
*Openings are for second shift (evening shift) but must be able to work any shift if schedules and workload changes force re-balancing between shifts*
Must be able to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance after start of employment . Obtaining a security clearance requires US Citizenship
Basic Qualifications:
Ability to work effectively in team environment.
Experience in complicated electro-mechanical assembly work.
High school degree or equivalency.
Good math skills.
Proficient in using windows and MS office products
Ability to maintain accurate records
Develop and make recommendations for new or improved equipment and processes associated with current production operations.
Analyze current production equipment and process difficulties while making recommendations for corrective actions.
Must be able to work from engineering drawings (blueprints), sketches, written or oral instructions, and Engineering Change Notices.
Ability to document elements in the form of written instructions (manufacturing instructions, manufacturing process instructions, development worksheets, harness boards, tooling, fixturing and special process instructions).
Ability to obtain and maintain required certifications
Desired Skills:
A&P certification
ASE certification
Experience in soldering (IPC J-STD-100)
Mechanical aptitude
Experience working in team environment
MRP/SAP exposure.
Lean and Six Sigma exposure
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: Non- standard 40 hour work week as assigned by leader
The base range for this position in New York is $32.89 – $35.23.
