Who we are:
The program performs a critical role in the lifecycle management of high-capacity, multi-channel telecommunications networks. It encompasses the analysis, design, development, integration, testing, deployment, securing, modernization, and maintenance of radio frequency (RF) and optical capabilities that enable seamless communication networks.

The program’s responsibilities include conducting thorough analysis of existing telecommunications networks to identify areas for improvement and designing enhancements to optimize performance, security, and capacity. It develops and integrates RF and optical capabilities to support high-capacity telecommunications networks, ensuring seamless connectivity and minimal downtime.



The program prioritizes security, implementing robust measures to protect the network from cyber threats, unauthorized access, and data breaches. It also modernizes existing infrastructure, incorporating emerging technologies and innovative solutions. Ongoing support and maintenance are provided to ensure optimal performance, resolving issues promptly and efficiently.

The program requires a strong understanding of telecommunications protocols, architectures, and technologies, as well as network security principles and threat analysis. It operates in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines, leveraging agile development methodologies and DevOps practices.

The Work:
If you’re a Linux Systems Administrator (SA) who also has experience with Tier 1 and Tier 2 helpdesk, this is the role with you.
The work you’re going to be involved with is critical, and the program is running smoothly. So you are the one who will provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of their Information Technology (IT) systems.



– Manages IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems.
Provides support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
Provides Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems.
Provides support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
– Provides support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process.
– Configures and manages LINUX, UNIX and Windows operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoots, maintains integrity and configures network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements.

Basic Qualifications:
– Current DoD Top Secret SCI with Polygraph is required
– 5+ years experience as a Systems Administrator
– Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university. (additional 5 years of Systems Administrator experience may be used in lieu of a degree)
– Able and willing to work shifts that include nights and weekends
Desired Skills:
– Experience supporting implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems in a DoD environment
– Experience providing Tier 1 & 2 (Help Desk) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems
– Experience managing the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems
– Experience providing assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems
Clearance Level: TS/SCI w/Poly SP

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4×10 hour day, 3 days off per week
