The Opportunity

The Central Sales, Group Specialist is someone who has demonstrated through performance a thorough understanding and competence in Group sales, Hyatt systems, and the hotel industry. The Central Sales, Group Specialist will be responsible for managing a sales funnel at multiple Select Service & Full Service properties daily. They will receive leads from many different sources, interact with clients, create proposals, and respond in a way that is beneficial for each hotel and their individual goals. This person will be responsible for proactive business development to find new business opportunities for the hotels in their portfolio. This person will utilize Envision and other sales tools to promptly respond to leads to increase conversion and revenue. The Role

•Setup/Onboarding of new CSM hotels for participating hotels as assigned

•Perform Market Research and analysis to understand the participating hotel’s current business landscape


•Use market intelligence and Envision to determine target accounts and set account strategy

•Is comfortable using Envision to track all activity in prospecting and sales funnel management


•Effectively communicate program success and results upwards and outwards

•Evaluate hotel performance metrics to evaluate program performance and convey the value of Centralized programs.


•Promptly respond to all incoming group leads and referrals with professionalism

•Manages group post-contract to ensure guests can book reservations seamlessly.



Qualifications


Experience

•Minimum 2-3 years experience in a hotel or related field desired

•Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data


•Must be proficient in general computer knowledge, Microsoft Suite, Envision, Opera, and Cvent

•Must have previous Hyatt sales experience



Education

•Bachelor’s Degree preferred


Computer Skills Needed to Perform this Job

•Must be proficient with Microsoft Office including Excel and PowerPoint and be capable of creating documents, working charts, and spreadsheets and Hyatt Systems (Envision, Opera, Reserve, etc)


Additional Comments and Requirements

•Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately


•Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)

•The ability to sell strategic decisions to gain optimal business mix


•Ability to manage upward with good debate and consensus skills with objectivity

•Must have the ability to travel as needed


•Home office position which requires the need for productive home office space.
