2025 Summer Intern – gRED, Regev Lab

This internship position is located in South San Francisco, on site.

The Opportunity

• The intern will lead the development of a novel computational method to understand the temporal changes in single-cell RNA-seq data and unveil the regulatory mechanisms that regulate these changes.
• A preliminary step will require a basic understanding of the temporal single-cell RNA-seq data, its features, and required pre-processing steps.
• The data will be a mixture of publicly available data and proprietary data collected in the lab and there will be opportunities to apply the method to understand the novel biological mechanism of proprietary data.

Program Highlights

• Full time for at least first 12 weeks (40 hours per week) paid internship.
• Program start dates are in May (Summer) with some flexibility.
• A stipend, based on location, will be provided to help alleviate costs associated with the internship.
• Ownership of challenging and impactful business-critical projects.
• Work with some of the most talented people in the biotechnology industry.

Who You Are

Required Education:

– Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree or higher (enrolled student).

Required Majors: Biomedical Engineering & Computational Sciences.

Required Skills:

• Experience with temporal modeling of single-cell RNA-seq data.

• Knowledge and experience with processing single-cell RNA-seq data.
• Familiarity with deep learning and statistical modeling.

The expected salary for this position based on the primary location for this position in California is $45.00 per hour. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This position also qualifies for paid holiday time off benefits.
