  • Senior Project Manager

The Senior Project Manager (SPM) will be responsible for leading large, complex projects or managing multiple projects simultaneously. As the primary point of contact and corporate representative, the SPM will liaise with all project stakeholders, including Owners, OPMs, developers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors. This role involves overseeing the entire project lifecycle, ensuring effective management of budget, costs, schedules, risks, resources, and safety, while delivering outstanding customer service. Additionally, the SPM will lead the implementation of a Raving Fans action plan and contribute to business development efforts through networking, marketing initiatives, proposal preparation, and interviews.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Responsible for the planning, management, co-ordination and financial control of a construction project.
  • Confer with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, or design professionals to discuss and resolve matters, such as work procedures, complaints, or construction issues that arise.
  • Plan, schedule, or coordinate construction project activities to meet deadlines.
  • Manage all financial aspects of the project, prepare and submit budget estimates, progress reports, or cost tracking reports.
  • Inspect or review projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes, or other regulations.
  • Inspect or review projects to monitor compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Plan, organize, or direct activities concerned with the construction or maintenance of structures, facilities, or systems.
  • Study job specifications to determine appropriate construction methods.
  • Investigate damage, accidents, or delays at construction sites to ensure that proper construction procedures are being followed.
  • Prepare contracts or negotiate revisions/change orders to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers, or subcontractors.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, or related field.
  • 10-15 years of general construction and/or industrial experience with experience in the following areas:
      • Onsite field engineering
      • Onsite project supervision
      • Project estimating/bidding
      • Project scheduling
      • Project contract writing
      • Procurement
      • Staffing/manpower for projects
      • Equipment placement
      • Quality Control
      • Safety programs
      • Project management
      • Job billing and cost


  • Knowledge and understanding of all PM, APM and PE, Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent responsibilities
  • Knowledge of cost management software (Sage preferred), scheduling software (Procore preferred), and construction and project management (Procore preferred).
