Job Summary: Responsible for outfitting all guests with rental equipment suitable for their needs and explaining safety features.
Applicants must be 18 years of age.
Please note this positions is located at Palisades Tahoe and is not remote.
Hourly:
The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Palisades Tahoe Resort, LLC’s hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Palisades Tahoe Resort, LLC’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term and long-term incentives and many region-specific benefits.
Base hourly pay range: $18.68 – $24.28 per hour

Essential Responsibilities:
Provide exceptional customer service to all customers and employees. Greet and assist guests promptly upon entering the store. Demonstrate product knowledge for retail items and rental fleet. Assess guest needs through effective questioning and recommend appropriate equipment. Size guests for boots and ensure proper fit. Advise on ski, pole, or snowboard sizing based on guest’s ability and physical attributes. Maintain binding certification and adjust bindings according to manufacturers’ guidelines. Ensure accurate completion of rental contracts. Educate guests on the operation and safety features of rental equipment. Operate the RTP POS system proficiently. Inspect returned equipment for damage and proper condition. Ensure guest satisfaction and express gratitude upon departure. Maintain shop cleanliness and organize equipment storage.
Competencies and Requirements:
- Effective communication skills (verbal and written).
- Strong customer service and safety awareness.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Neat and compliant with grooming standards.
- Punctual and reliable team player.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and courtesy.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1-3 months of customer service experience preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools preferred.
- Familiarity with ski/snowboard equipment and POS systems a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to walk, stand, talk, see, and hear throughout the work shift.
- Capable of lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Visual acuity including close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Working Conditions:
Indoor/Outdoor: While performing the duties of this job, the employee will occasionally be exposed to outside weather conditions.
Hazardous Materials/Noise: The noise level in the work place is usually moderate.
