Royal Caribbean Group’s Royal Caribbean International brand has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Lead, Beach Clubs on the Hotel Operations Team reporting to the Director, Beach Clubs.
This position will work onsite in Miami, Florida
Position Summary :
In this position, you would lead all processes and procedures for the operation of the Royal Beach Club (RBC) portfolio, including leading special projects and business development aspects, and hiring and onboarding roles within the corporate Private Destination organization. You would also collaborate closely with the RBC General Manager, Director of Island Projects and Innovation, Startup F&B Director, and Senior Manager Private Destinations F&B to oversee all aspects for the successful operation of the Royal Beach Club portfolio.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Lead the development and implementation of key processes and procedures critical for the successful operation of the Royal Beach Club portfolio, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and engaging with subject matter experts.
- Provide direct support to the Director and on-site management by overseeing daily operational tasks, offering data-driven insights on project progress, and assisting in prioritizing resources to ensure smooth operations and strategic alignment across Royal Beach Club locations.
- Prepare the operation for full handover to the permanent leadership and working teams.
- Provide high level presentations, and business cases to communicate findings, recommendations, and progress updates to senior leadership.
- Direct the use of analytical tools and techniques to guide data driven decisions and ensure accurate interpretation to present to senior stakeholders.
- Lead decision-making processes related to resource allocation, budget planning, performance optimization, workforce planning, and process effectiveness.
- Establish and oversee key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics to assess business performance, drive accountability and support continuous improvement efforts.
- Partner with Supply Chain to oversee 3rd party Request for Proposals (RFPs) to develop crucial functions of the RBC business, and lead negotiations with external vendors.
- Lead special projects aimed at key areas of the RBC with focus on enhancing guest experience, optimizing operational efficiency, or increasing revenues.
- Collaborate and lead cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of strategies and objectives.
- Champion a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence within the Beach Club’s team, inspiring high performance and professional growth.
- Act as primary liaison with Liaise with Senior Stakeholders to collect, analyze, and present key performance indicators and other metrics to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Identify inefficiencies in operational processes and develop solutions to streamline workflows, reduce costs, and enhance productivity.
- Ensure comprehensive project management by tracking activities and projects. Provide timely follow ups and provide feedback to stakeholders.
- Facilitate meetings, develop storyline of complex material, delegate detailed meeting minutes or take minutes when necessary, and compile actionable summaries.
- Design and deliver high impact presentations to communicate complex data, project milestones, recommendations, to senior stakeholders.
- Develop project budgets planning and resource allocation for the startup and operation of the Royal Beach Club portfolio, including but not limited to, portfolio operation plan development, and strategy.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills :
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (MBA preferred) or three to five years related experience in hospitality.
- Startup or pre-opening experience and/or training preferred.
- Experience working in diverse international environments.
- Candidate must possess strong written and oral communication skills and be able to work effectively with all levels of operational personnel.
- Proficiency in using a wide range of software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail, Calendar).
- Familiarity with cloud-based collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams, Slack, and Zoom for remote communication and collaboration.
- Strong analytical skills, able to interpret and present complex information effectively using analysis and visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Google Data Studio.
- Flexibility to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- While performing the duties of this job, you would be regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; and taste and smell. You must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- All Destination Team Members must be physically able to participate in emergency life-saving procedures and drills. Full use/range of motion of arms and legs as well as full visual, verbal, and hearing abilities are required to receive and give instructions in the event of an emergency.
- Ability to work in an outdoor environment where high temperature, precipitation, and humid temperatures are experienced. While performing the duties of this job, you would be required to work outdoors in extremely humid and hot conditions for an extended period. This is a position where duties are exercised outdoors, walking in sand, and uneven surfaces.
