We are looking for a Director of Software Engineering (Web Security) to lead the development of our next-generation web security and networking solutions. This is a critical leadership role for an expert in web traffic filtering, security, and protection—someone who thrives on solving complex security challenges and driving innovation.
This is not just a hands-on engineering role; it’s an opportunity to shape our technology strategy, lead high-impact initiatives, and define how we protect web traffic at scale. You will work closely with the CTO, influencing key decisions on architecture, security, and product direction.
What You Will Be Doing
- Leading the design and development of our core web security and networking technologies.
- Driving innovation in web traffic filtering—developing new techniques to detect and mitigate modern threats.
- Owning the security architecture for high-performance, scalable systems that protect web traffic.
- Developing and optimizing integrations for Nginx, Apache, and other critical web infrastructure components.
- Mentoring and guiding engineers, fostering a security-first culture across the team.
- Making strategic technical decisions on languages, frameworks, and infrastructure—balancing security, performance, and scalability.
What We Are Looking For
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with leadership in security-focused projects.
- Deep expertise in network and web security, including modern cyber threats and mitigation techniques.
- Strong programming skills in at least two of C++, Golang, and PHP.
- Extensive experience with Linux, networking protocols, and web infrastructure.
- Knowledge of cloud and database technologies (SQL, RabbitMQ, PostgreSQL, Clickhouse, Kubernetes).
- A proactive leader who defines what needs to be done and takes ownership.
- Strategic mindset—you don’t just write code, you make decisions that impact security at scale.
- Passion for web security and making the internet a safer place.
- Experience working in remote-first, asynchronous teams with strong communication skills.
