Job Description

Stone Mountain Park

The 4-D Theater Attendant is responsible for giving each guest who enters the theater a highly interactive, enthusiastic experience, as well as making sure that they do so in a safe and efficient manner according to all prescribed operating procedures.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Additional duties may be assigned. Management retains the discretion to change or add to the duties of this position at any time.
  • Supports the Thrive vision of , “Creating Memories Worth Repeating by Bringing Families Closer Together” through guest engagement and building emotional connection to the Stone Mountain Park brand
  • Smile and treat guests with friendliness and respect
  • Memorizes and executes scripted performance standards
  • Provides guests with remarkable experiences
  • Furnish guests with information regarding all railroad and general park operations with high enthusiasm
  • Create and maintain desired theater atmosphere through costuming, role-playing, and guest interaction
  • Monitor and guide guests entering and exiting the theater according to all safety polices and procedures
  • Escort guests to proper seating and exits
  • Ensure guests take and return 3-D glasses
  • Ensure glasses inventory is properly maintained and cleaned for each show
  • Maintain a clean, safe working environment
  • All other duties as assigned

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be able to pass a panel interview including a scripted audition
  • Must be able to maintain the high standards of performance guidelines regularly evaluated by the Attractions and Entertainment leadership teams
  • Must uphold the company culture that builds exceptional internal and external guest experiences
  • Must be able to smile and interact with guests maintaining a friendly and enthusiastic personality
  • Must understand, read, write and speak the English language
  • Must be at least 16 years old
  • Must be able to maintain a good working relationship with coworkers
  • Must be able to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Must demonstrate a friendly and hospitable demeanor
  • Must be able to maintain crowd control according to all Park safety standards
  • Must be able to maintain the theater show schedule and make adjustments as needed
  • Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • High School Diploma/GED preferred
  • Acting or drama experience preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer service or hospitality industry preferred

While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to stand for long periods of time and walk.  The employee must be able to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.  The employee is frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  The employee is frequently required to talk and hear.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move carry, push, or pull at least 50lbs.  Specific vision requirements for this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to focus and night vision.  Must be able to take directional cues directly or indirectly.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions, although the majority of work is performed inside the Theater
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually loud
