Part time 20 hour position, flexible hours. This NPS/CNS will primarily support White 10
White 10 (20 beds) is an adult inpatient medical unit. The unit serves patients from diverse backgrounds and geographic areas that present with acute and complex medical problems. Patients are generally admitted to this unit from the Emergency Department or as a transfer from one of the hospital’s intensive care units.
Job Summary
The Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) or Nurse Practice Specialist (NPS) provides clinical support at the bedside, ensures standard processes, and upholds evidence-based care to achieve the best patient outcomes. Applicants should be energetic leaders who develops collaborative relationships with staff, peers, and members of the interdisciplinary teams!
Incumbent will be responsible for developing programs, decision-making, management of quality outcomes, and participation in research activities within both units. Deliver care in the clinical environment, health promotion, disease prevention, health education, and patient and family counseling activities.

Essential Functions
-Provides expert-level consultation and advises staff on the formulation of diagnoses and treatment plans for patients and families within two general medicine units.
-Plans and delivers relevant staff and patient education to nurses and other members of the health care team on matters regarding plan of care for patient and family.
-Actively participates in research and evidence-based practice activities that will positively affect patient care outcomes.
-Provide health care services to patients.
-Forming a diagnosis and management and treatment of illness and disease.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s Degree Nursing required
Master’s Degree Nursing required
Licenses and Credentials
Registered Nurse MA RN License
Preferred Clinical Nurse Specialist certification
Experience
Clinical nursing experience 3-5 years required
Clinical education experience 2-3 years preferred
Nursing leadership experience 1-2 years preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
– In-depth knowledge of clinical nursing care practices and principles.
– Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
– Proficiency in developing and implementing evidence-based care plans.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, patients, and families.
– Leadership abilities to provide guidance, mentorship, and education to nursing staff.
– Ability to stay updated on the latest advancements in nursing skills and patient care through continuous learning and professional development.
