Nursing Assistant/Patient Care Technician Boot Camp – Eligibility & Program Details

Embark on a rewarding career in healthcare through our Nursing Assistant/Patient Care Technician Boot Camp–an exclusive, on-the-job training program designed for individuals with no prior healthcare experience.

Program Overview:

The Boot Camp is available at all five hospital sites: Morristown Medical Center, Overlook Medical Center, Chilton Medical Center, Newton Medical Center, and Hackettstown Medical Center. This 10-day paid training program, spanning two weeks (Monday-Friday), provides hands-on experience and foundational skills essential for a career in patient care.

Participation in this program is strictly limited to candidates who have successfully completed the interview process and accepted an offer for a Nursing Support position within our organization.

Steps After You Register for Boot Camps:

• A recruiter will review your application and send you a survey with screening questions, including your preferred location.
• If you qualify, you will receive a second survey with interview questions.
• If eligible, you will be contacted prior to the Boot Camp at your preferred location to set up an interview. (Boot Camps are held at each location only twice year.)

During the program, you will learn how to safely provide care for patients, including:

• Obtaining Vital Signs and Blood Glucose Monitoring: Master the art of monitoring vital signs and blood glucose levels – crucial skills for any healthcare professional.
• Caring for Specialized Patients: Gain specialized knowledge in caring for valued patients, ranging from geriatric to obstetrics, and our general population.
• Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Make a positive impact by helping patients with their daily needs, including feeding, bathing, etc., promoting independence and dignity.
• Mobilizing Patients: Learn techniques to assist patients in movement and mobility, contributing to their recovery journey.

• Morristown Medical Center- July 14,2025-July 25,2025
• Overlook Medical Center-August 4, 2025-August 15, 2025
• Western Region (Newton Medical Center and Hackettstown Medical Center)- October 13,2025-October 24,2025
• Morristown Medical Center- November 10,2025-November 21,2025
