The role you’ll contribute: 


The Assistant Director is responsible to the Director in the daily planning, organizing, developing and

directing of departmental operations within regulatory guidelines in accordance with the hospital’s


mission, physician and patient expectations.  Assists in developing and monitoring the clinical integrity of assigned programs.

·  Provides effective leadership and supervisory support to staff ·  Selects qualified and competent employees ·  Ensures that all employees are provided with appropriate orientation and in-services ·  Projects and coordinates sufficient staffing to meet patient care needs ·  Assures that qualifications and competencies of all employees are current ·  Conducts formal evaluations according to policy

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

·  Three (3) years of management/leadership in Surgical Services

·  Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing


·  Communication skills to enhance and motivate staff


·  Demonstrates leadership and teaching abilities


·  RN State of Florida License Required



·  BLS


·  ACLS
