Assembly Process Engineer

Job Description

• Develop new assembly processes / tooling and oversees equipment startup for new programs.
• Develops / Designs assembly processes to meet customers/production needs.
• Creates process layouts that both maximize output and minimizes material handling.
• Supervise trial builds and documents information (cycle time, output, issues, etc.)
• Responsible for trial part quality and robot programming.
• Lead and participate in cost reduction activities such as cycle time reductions, operator reductions, and material flow improvements.
• Interaction with customers (internal / external) to resolve technical/quality issues and implements corrective actions.
• other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Strong communication skills
• Proficient with office software products
• Strong Multitasking Skills
• Motivated personality

Preferences

• Strong problem-solving skills
• Understanding of manufacturing processes
• Automotive manufacturing experience is a plus
• AutoCAD and SolidWorks experience
• 3 years’ experience in the automotive industry is preferred; but is not mandatory
