We’re seeking an inventive and entrepreneurial Sr Customer Insights Mgr to join Amazon Devices – Z1 Emerging, a special projects team dedicated to inventing breakthrough consumer product categories. You will own the methodology and execution of concept testing and early feedback for ZeroOne programs. This includes customer discovery interviews, purchase intent studies, pricing research, and market sizing to inform product development and go-to-market strategy. Additionally, you will lead customer segmentation studies, brand positioning research, and analysis while managing research vendors and stakeholders to inform product development and go-to-market strategy.

Key job responsibilities
– Design and execute concept testing, purchase intent studies, pricing research, and market sizing studies to inform product development and go-to-market strategy.
– Create long-term research roadmaps and opportunity frameworks that align with product strategy and business goals.
– Lead customer segmentation, brand positioning, and MaxDiff/conjoint analysis to understand market opportunities.
– Manage research vendors and budgets for large-scale quantitative and qualitative studies.
– Collaborate with product management, marketing, and business teams to identify research opportunities and translate business questions into research plans.
– Design and analyze surveys, focus groups, and in-depth interviews using rigorous methodologies.
– Present research findings and recommendations to stakeholders through clear, compelling narratives.
– Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across product, marketing, and design.
– Champion customer insights that impact product roadmaps and business decisions.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS


– 6+ years experience leading Market Research or User Research projects
– Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
– A strong research portfolio demonstrating past work experience and deliverables

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS



– MS in HCI, Human Factors, HCDE, Economics, or Cognitive Psychology
– Consumer product research experience
– Exceptional data-collection and analysis skills, e.g., designing, conducting, and analyzing all kinds of user data, both quantitative and qualitative
– Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills; the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization
– Strong grasp of quantitative data analysis and statistics

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $137,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $226,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
