About Salesforce
We’re Salesforce, the Customer Company, inspiring the future of business with AI+ Data +CRM. Leading with our core values, we help companies across every industry blaze new trails and connect with customers in a whole new way. And, we empower you to be a Trailblazer, too – driving your performance and career growth, charting new paths, and improving the state of the world. If you believe in business as the greatest platform for change and in companies doing well and doing good – you’ve come to the right place.
The Global Technology Partnerships team is looking for an experienced technologist to join our team and lead a new ISV developer advocacy team. The ISV developer advocacy team will inspire and support our ISV partner developer community around the world to build the next generation of apps and integrations for the Salesforce Platform.
Who you are
We are looking for an experienced technologist who embraces enterprise software development and has built production ready applications for the Salesforce Platform. You are a creative thinker who understands when to choose visual builder tools or when to build with code from scratch. You are equally comfortable working with flows as well as with web frontend frameworks, Apex, or APIs. You deeply understand the Salesforce developer experience and are a scratch org and 2nd gen packaging wizard. You nerd out over the latest release notes and can’t wait to try each new feature in your pre-release org.
You love creating inspirational and technical reference apps and demos, and complementing those with accessible video and written content. You are a proven “YouTube native” that loves to captivate their audiences on screen.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain your expertise with the Salesforce Platform and the ISV partner tools and developer experience.
- Create sample apps, code samples, prototypes, and visually compelling demos that inspire our ISV partners to build on and adopt the Salesforce Platform.
- Produce on-demand and live-streamed videos, and write technical content including blogs and thought leadership.
- Support virtual and in-person events with technical talks, demonstrations and workshops.
- Work closely with product, engineering, and other cross-functional teams as the “voice of ISV developer” to influence the future of products.
- Engage with the Salesforce ISV developer community on Salesforce owned and other channels including the Salesforce Partner Community, Reddit, LinkedIn, YouTube, the Salesforce Developer Relations channel and more.
- Work alongside our Partner Marketing team to build new channels (including blog series, podcasts, socials, and more).
Minimum Qualifications
- 7+ years experience in a developer relations, advocacy, or evangelist role or 7+ year experience developing on the Salesforce Platform, preferably as a product leader/developer at one of our ISVs.
- Deep understanding and passion for the needs of enterprise developers that build on Salesforce.
- Profound understanding of business use cases around the Salesforce Platform
- Proven technical expertise in web applications, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Apex, and APIs.
- Experience with Data Cloud, Agentforce, or other emerging Salesforce Platform technologies is a plus.
- Solid experience in crafting engaging video content.
- Excellent presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills and experience making complex technical concepts accessible and understandable.
- Solid understanding and appreciation for the constant and rapid shift in how and where people consume content and share their experiences.
- Certifications or equivalent hands-on technical experience related to development with Salesforce, preferably as an ISV.
- Drive to be a solo self-starter and a highly collaborative team player.
- Passion for learning and working with new technologies.
- A strategic mind and deep problem solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to travel 20%.
- Degree or equivalent confirmed experience required. Experience will be evaluated based on the core proficiencies for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer roles, work experience, etc.).
Note: This role is Office-Flexible, with the expectation that you will work in-person at a Salesforce office three days per week.
