This role is hybrid with on-site expectations in Ann Arbor, MI 3 days per week. Requires the ability to travel to multiple locations to conduct work and communicate with global audiences. Travel is predictable and planned in advance, but may range from 10-30% on an annual basis. Must be able to travel domestically and internationally for recruiting events. Purpose: The Associate Director is part of the Michigan Ross Full-Time MBA admissions committee. You will work to achieve enrollment goals and high yield rates by developing strategies to attract high-quality MBA applicants, both domestically and internationally.
You will collaborate with senior leadership, students, alumni, and external partners to attract the next generation of world-class leaders to the Michigan Ross MBA program. You will also represent Michigan Ross at global events, engaging with prospective students, alumni, employers, and universities. You may oversee specific domestic and international recruiting territories or focus on specific recruiting initiatives. You will report to the Senior Associate Director of Full-Time MBA Admissions.

Responsibilities*
Admissions Evaluation (30%)
- Evaluate and recommend applicants for admission, including initial screening and review of Full-Time MBA (FTMBA) applications.
- Serve on the admissions committee and participate in admission reader training.
- Maintain expertise in domestic and international higher education degree programs.
- Provide applicant support, answering questions and assisting with application completion.
- Co-lead waitlist management, including being the waitlist manager.
Event Coordination and Management (25%)
- Co-lead strategy and execution for on-campus and off-campus events.
- Plan and deliver major events (e.g., Women’s Weekend, Diversity Weekend, Go Blue Rendezvous), involving 200?400 attendees and 150+ volunteers.
- Manage event logistics, including communications, transportation, hotels, catering, swag, and vendor services.
- Manage event budgets ranging from $5K to $150K, ensuring compliance with university policies.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of virtual admitted student events and in-person events.
Student and Alumni Engagement (25%)
- Collaborate with student clubs and leaders to support admissions outreach and foster an inclusive culture.
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to identify high-quality prospective students and recruitment opportunities.
- Engage with key programs, such as Erb and Tauber, to enhance outreach efforts.
Prospective Student Representation (20%)
- Represent Michigan Ross at recruitment events, including fairs, panels, and signature admissions events.
- Plan and participate in interview weekends, visitation days, and admitted student weekends.
- Partner with external organizations, such as the Forte Foundation, to strengthen outreach initiatives.
Required Qualifications*
- Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience working with alumni and prospective MBA students, or similar populations.
- Experience working with internal and external partners.
- 1+ years excelling in a large team environment.
- 2+ years of experience in project management.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, including VLOOKUP, IMPORTRANGE, pivot tables, and data analysis tools.

Additional Information
The posting range for this position is $63,300 – $78,150. This posting range reflects multiple factors involved in determining compensation, such as skills, experience, training, certifications, and other organizational needs. At Ross, it is not common for new hires to be offered a salary at the upper end of the range. Compensation decisions are based on the details of each situation.
