ACCOUNT MANAGER JOB DESCRIPTION

SUMMARY OF POSITION: To Maintain Existing Client Relationships and Develop New Client Relationships through Appropriate Need Assessments and Ethical Sales Methods. To provide relevant Internal Liaison by Optimizing — Quality of Service, Client Satisfaction. and Business Growth by utilizing appropriate methods to facilitate the development of profitable business and sustainable relationships.



This position reports directly to the Sales Manager or their designated representative. This position will partner with the Operations Manager

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may also be assigned.



SALES AND MARKETING MANAGEMENT:

  • Respond to and follow up on all sales inquiries using appropriate methods and within established timeframes.
  • Plan and Prioritize — Client Management, Personal Sales Activities and Prospect Contact towards achieving agreed business goals, including individual goals – especially managing personal time and productivity. Produce Daily Documentation of these activities.
  • Attend and present at external customer meetings, internal company meetings, and trade functions deemed necessary to educate operational team members and to aid business development.
  • Identify, access, and develop additional prospects and client opportunities.

  • Monitor and report on market and competitor activities and provide relevant reports and Information to Sales Manager and Operations Manager.

CLIENT MANAGEMENT:

  • Establish, Maintain and Execute a Schedule for day to day/weekly/monthly Client Contact and Job Site Visitation. Produce Daily Documentation of these Activities.
  • Establish and Maintain strong Client Relationships through a Complete Understanding of the Individual Clients Needs and their Corresponding Constraints
  • Respond to and follow up on all Service Inquiries or Complaints Using Appropriate Methods and Within Established Timeframes.
  • Engage in Problem Solving with Clients Regarding Landscape Management, Horticultural, and other Site-Specific Issues.
  • Develop and Present Short Term and Long-Term Enhancement Plans for Improving Client Properties Both from a Landscape and a Budgetary Perspective.

  • Assist Operation teams in Implementing Job Start Up Checklist process. Provide routine status reports to key clients.
  • To Consistently Achieve and Maintain Remedial Sales and Proposal Activity at Agreed Upon Standards and Goals.
  • Manage Service Mix, Pricing and Margins according to Agreed Standards and Goals.

  • Identifies and Suggest Low Margin Properties for Reengineering and or Replacement.

  • Identify Accounts that Require Renewal and Negotiate Profitable and Favorable Contract Renewal Terms. For Those Accounts with Automatic
  • Measure, inventory, and Evaluate Prospective Properties for Contract and Remedial Proposal Generation.

FIELD MANAGEMENT

  • Assist Managing Partners and Operations Manager with initial Walk Throughs to Establish Client Relationship and Property Parameters.
  • On Enhancement Jobs, Conduct Initial walk through with Landscape Install Crews and ensure Client Satisfaction When Job Completed
  • Assist Operations Manager in Implementing Job Start Up Checklist process with Crew Leaders.
  • The employee occasionally may need to assist the crew in the field by performing some light duty landscaping tasks such as planting, raking, helping cleanup the site to meet deadlines to complete landscape projects.
  • Assist in scheduling and monitoring all Field-Related activities to be performed per Contract and or Proposal Specifications and within established Budgets.

QUALITY CONTROL/ SCHEDULING


  • Perform Quality Inspections and Scoring Review Process with Operations Manager and/or Production Manager
  • Utilize Punch List process to ensure Operations is meeting all maintenance contract obligations.

OFFICE AND ADMINISTRATION


  • Cooperate with Operations to insure smooth branch operations.
  • Effectively Manage open sales leads and focus on bringing them to a swift close.
  • Assist in providing a professional appearance of office facilities.
  • Participate in keeping files organized and up to date.
  • Verify Remedial billing schedules ensuring all work performed has been invoiced.
  • Provide proper paperwork flow from client to office from office to field.

  • Be proactive in responding to internal and client deadlines.

Perform any other tasks necessary or requested by the Managing Partners to insure a smooth and profitable operation.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.



WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
