Schedule: PRN Schedule

Shift: As Needed

Location: 480 WEST CENTRAL PARKWAY, Altamonte Springs, 32714

Travel:  Patient home visits and facility visits (SNF, ALF, etc.) required

The community you’ll be caring for: AdventHealth Hospice Medical Staff Department

The role you’ll contribute:

Plans and delivers competent, compassionate, and cost-effective nursing care. Assesses and evaluates it post delivery. Provides physical and psychological support to patients and their families. Complies with organizational policies, procedures and standards.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

• Provides medical care for hospice patients. Utilizes assessment, intervention and teaching to maximize patient comfort and to enhance the quality of life to the patient/family unit.
• Evaluates the health status of selected patients, orders treatment plans and provides education to patients and their families under the supervision of a licensed physician.
• Performs clinical evaluations and reviews diagnostic studies of patients under the supervision of a licensed physician.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Nursing with Nurse Practitioner designation is required.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in medical nursing, hospice and/or critical care experience and a minimum of 2 years experience as an APRN is required.  Experience with symptom and pain management is preferred.
• Clear/Active Florida APRN license required.  Basic Life Support certification required. Certified Hospice and Palliative Nursing Certification is preferred.
• APRN-BC – Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, Board Certified required
• BCLS – Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association required
• DL NUMBER – Driver License, Valid and in State in good standing with a safe driving record and a reliable vehicle required
• Maintain valid personal automobile insurance required
