The Position: We are looking for a candidate who will be performing the role of an Air Vehicle Systems Engineer (AVSE) – Journeyman, supporting PMA-262, the Triton Program Office
Salary: The estimated salary range for this position is $90,000 – $125,000 annually, based upon an individual's level of experience, skillset, and education. The Description:
The incumbent is responsible for assisting the Air Vehicle (AV) Engineering Lead in the technical management of air vehicle systems during the development, production, and sustainment phases of the MQ-4C Triton Unmanned Aerial Vehicle System. The role includes supporting the development of technical requirements, managing program plans, and coordinating efforts across various contractors and field activities. The ideal candidate will work closely with subject matter experts to ensure seamless integration and a comprehensive system solution.
Other duties/ responsibilities may include:
- Provide timely, technically sound engineering support to the AV Engineering Lead.
- Assist the AV Engineering Lead in development and management of technical requirements for the AV design throughout the system's lifecycle.
- Assist the AV Engineering Lead in ensuring appropriate technical area representation is in place to support various Triton AV related projects.
- Assist the AV Engineering Lead in management of AV assigned tasks in the program master schedule.
- Assist the AV Engineering Lead in coordinating engineering development, requirement adherence, and issue resolution within the AV Engineering team.
- Assist the AV Engineering Lead with development of program acquisition and technical documents and briefing material.
- Participate in Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs) and Air Vehicle design reviews.
- Assist the AV Engineering Lead in the preparation of Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and other acquisition documents such as Statements of Work (SOW), Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL), etc.
- Support the AV Engineering Lead with identification, analysis, and mitigation of program and systems safety risks in alignment with PMA 262 program risk management and NAVAIR system safety processes.
- Support the AV Engineering Lead in development and coordination of airworthiness requirements, as well as the identification of necessary data products for interim flight clearances.
Education & Experience:
- Active DoD Secret Clearance, required.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
- ALLOWABLE SUBSITIUTIONS:
- Associate's degree with two (2) years of additional work experience or
- High School Diploma / GED with four (4) years of additional work experience.
- Three (3) to ten (10) years of experience in air vehicle systems engineering or related roles.

Desired Experience:
- Prior experience supporting NAVAIR Programs.
- Familiarity with Systems Engineering processes and concepts.
- Ability to effectively communicate across a team of diverse technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Travel:
- On some occasions, the employee may be required to drive to offices or buildings near the work site. In rare occasions, travel may be required.
