What You Will Do:
This role is responsible for providing full financial support to the Indirect Sourcing Organization for North America (including the Marketing & Media, Retail & Promo, Logistic and Industrial Services, Business Services and IT Domains) on methodology, performance validation, reporting and networking within the finance community.
- Act as a Business Partner
- Provide analytical guidance & economic expertise in developing and implementing sourcing strategies and plans
- Support the delivery of all relevant financial objectives in compliance with the Group guidelines
- Develop a close relationship with the key business stakeholders & colleagues to anticipate risks and opportunities so to optimize the spend and project performance
- Participate in building the business plans of all main Regional Indirect Sourcing Projects
- Contribute with the Regional Indirect Sourcing Head to develop ROI / Value Creation visibility
- Drive and Control the Indirect Sourcing Spend & Economic Project Performance
At a Regional Indirect sourcing level:
- Consolidate and report to Management the North America Zone Budget, Trend and Actuals for both Indirect Sourcing Performance and Spend
- Partner with Controllers across the organization to drive Cost Reduction impacts to the P&L
- Maintain the Indirect Sourcing Reserve process for North America ensuring full P&L visibility of Cost Reduction impacts throughout the Budget and Trends
- Own the North America Zone Indirect Sourcing Finance calendar
- Analyze the gaps, check data consistency, challenge results, identify risks / opportunities and propose corrective actions if needed
- Train & support the countries teams on calculating the economic performance of projects in adherence to globally established norms
- Contribute to the continuous improvement & data quality maintenance of the sourcing/financial applications & systems to keep developing the teams Efficiency and Simplicity
At an operational Indirect Sourcing level (category purchasing teams):
- Ensure consistency and integrity of all the data reported to internal stakeholders & align on financial targets and actual results between Sourcing and the Business/Finance
- Follow-up the financial impacts of the regional key initiatives / projects and evaluate results
- When applicable, calculate & monitor other key performance indicators in coordination with the sourcing teams
At an operational Canada Indirect Sourcing level:
- Partner with the head of Indirect Sourcing in Canada and direct the activities of the Canada Indirect Sourcing Finance Controller
- Guardian” of internal control and compliance
For both perimeters, regional and operational:
- Ensure compliance with management, accounting, and economic rules & regulations
- Contribute to the respect and improvement of internal control practices – with a special focus on supplier financial risk identification
- Follow-up and contribute to the implementation of internal audit & internal control action plans
- People Management
- Responsible for the management of 2 Controllers – Manager / Director level (development, coaching, day to day activities etc.)
What We Are Looking For:
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
- 10+ years of experience in finance or accounting required including supervisory/ management experience
- Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, business acumen, leadership skills, oral and written communication skills, and excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong computer skills required; must have expert-level experience with Excel and Powerpoint
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, work environment and multi-cultural, matrix organization
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA Preferred
- Consumer products background preferred.
- Sourcing or Supply Chain background preferred
- Financial reporting experience and use of SAP or similar systems highly desirable
