Bell and Valet welcome all guests promptly with a positive, friendly, and helpful attitude to provide a great first impression. Bell and Valet are responsible for unloading luggage and equipment from guest vehicles/shuttle, delivering or storing luggage, and storing all equipment (skis, bikes, etc.) as well as transporting guest vehicles safely to and from the appropriate parking areas, as assigned. Bell and Valet escort guests with luggage to their rooms, pointing out hotel facilities and explaining features of the accommodations. Bell and Valet will provide transportation for guests using a company vehicle, and will also valet guest vehicles, therefore a driver’s license and impeccable driving record are required. Bell and Valet perform room deliveries upon request and also respond to other guest requests and concerns. Must possess great guest service and problem-solving skills. Upon departure, Bell and Valet collect luggage and escort guests to their vehicle, loading all equipment and luggage into the guest’s vehicle. Essential Job Responsibilities:


  • Follow policy and procedure, conduct oneself with safety in mind, creating and maintain a safe environment for oneself, guests, and fellow associates
  • Maintains presence at job post, at the ready for any guest arriving, departing, or in need.
  • Escorts guests to their rooms and delivers arriving baggage if requested by guests.
  • Moves departing luggage promptly.
  • Stores baggage for late departures and early arrivals, ensuring it is properly identified.
  • Keeps the hotel lobby and entrance clean.
  • Offers information pertaining to available services and facilities of the hotel, points of interest, and entertainment attractions
  • Transports hotel guests as requested
  • Valet guest vehicles safely to and from the appropriate parking areas and assign parking permits to hotel guests.
  • Cleans and keeps in good working order the company vehicle used for guest transportation
  • Explain features of the room such as the operation of technology and fire and emergency information.
  • Works closely with the Hausmeister Team to ensure guest requests are fulfilled.
  • Performs room deliveries in a timely and professional manner
  • Reliable attendance on all scheduled workdays
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Ski Valet – work on a rotating schedule as a ski valet
  • Ski Valets are responsible for unloading ski/snowboard equipment from guest bell carts and storing all equipment (skis, boots, etc.), as well as any other items needed to go out on the mountain.

Qualifications/Knowledge:


  • Ability to drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and successfully pass an MVR check
  • Prior hospitality experience preferred
  • Fluent English Skills
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs on occasion
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and evenings.

Work Environment:

Taos Ski Valley, Inc. is often a fast-paced work environment, especially during holidays and Peak days. TSVI is located in a high-altitude alpine environment. Position may require travel on uneven, snow-packed, or icy terrain and may be exposed to wet, cold, and/or humid conditions. Must be able to work in close quarters and with other staff.



Physical Demands of Position Include:

Frequently lifting up to 50 pounds and occasionally lifting up to 75 pounds. Standing and outdoors 50-60% of the time. Frequent walking, reaching, and bending. This position will require individuals to be out in winter conditions 20-30% of the time.



Background Check:

Positions dealing with children, of safety-sensitive and/or confidential nature, require driving, or positions that handle cash may require a background check and MVR check. Employment is contingent upon a favorable background check and MVR check.
