JOB SUMMARY


Prepares financial statements.  Performs monthly balance sheet, income statement and changes in financial position/budget variance analyses. Consults and advises senior management on complex financial and operational issues impacting the strategic financial plans of the organization, working with limited supervision of senior financial management.

SALARY


The pay range for this position is $27.69 (entry-level qualifications) – $47.01 (highly experienced). The specific rate will depend upon the successful candidate?s specific qualifications/requirements and prior healthcare insurance experience. 



ESSENTIAL KEY FUNCTIONS FOR THIS AUDIT COORDINATOR

·        Helps manage overall coordination of the different Health Plan audits and works with limited supervision.


·      Assists team with gathering audit documentation and reviewing for reasonableness and completeness before submitting to   external/internal auditors.


·        Manages audit requests list and send out notices to different teams inside and outside of the organization.


·        Interact with internal departments and external companies to answer auditor questions.


·        Identifies and advises supervisor/management on potential audit issues.


·        Identifies process improvement opportunities and works on special project, as needed.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE


  • EXAMINES, INVESTIGATES, AND ADVISES SENIOR MANAGEMENT ON INSTITUTIONAL FINANCIAL VARIANCE REPORTS.                    
  • Evaluates financial results and provides management with reports as required.
  • Coordinates opportunities to enhance revenue and/or reduce cost providing management with data to support findings.
  • Advises senior management on issues related to the financial operations of various departments.
  • Meets with senior management to review financial operation of various departments
  • Strives to meet deadlines on special projects and studies as assigned.
  • PREPARES AND COORDINATES THE END OF MONTH CLOSE CYCLE.
  • Prepares the month end journal preparation process for efficient and accurate closes.
  • Coordinates the review process each month after close cycle for completeness and accuracy.
  • Understands moderately complex financial information to ensure financial reports have a high degree of integrity.
  • Evaluates month end process and recommends processes for improvement.
  • CREATES AND EDUCATES STAFF ON ADVANCED INVISION REPORTING AND STUDY
  • Writes and revises moderately complex PS reports prior to dissemination to leadership.
  • Completes assigned report writing projects on time.
  • Coordinates the preparation of financial reports in formats that are easy to read and understand.
  • Creates moderately complexed adhoc reports as requested.
  • Assists with the education of senior management on uses of financial reports.
  • PERFORMS MODERATELY COMPLEX STUDIES FOR EXTERNAL USERS OF FINANCIAL INFORMATION.
  • Provides management appropriate complex financial studies timely and efficiently.
  • Recommends changes in financial operations that improves financial performance.
  • Maintains favorable working relations with external users of financial information.
  • Reviews variances prior to dissemination of  complex financial reports.
  • DEVELOPS MULTIPLE SYSTEM COMPUTER BASED PROGRAMS FOR USE IN FINANCIAL AND OPERATIONAL REPORTING.
  • Develops computer based programs that assist leadership in understanding the complexities of operational data.
  • Enhances the financial reporting environment through efficient operating procedures.
  • Provides timely and accurate reports using multiple data bases.
  • Coordinates the collection of  data from appropriate sources converting to easily understood financial information.
  • PERFORMS OTHER POSITION APPROPRIATE DUTIES AS REQUIRED IN A COMPETENT, PROFESSIONAL AND COURTEOUS MANNER.

KEY SUCCESS FACTORS

  • Proficient with MS Office applications.  Proven leadership, management, research and communication abilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • EDUCATION – Bachelor’s or 4 years of work experience above the minimum qualification
  • EXPERIENCE – 5 Years of Experience
