ABOUT PATHWAY DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION:
Pathway Design & Construction is a family-owned, award-winning, progressive residential remodeling company based in Seattle that is dedicated to healthy building design and construction. A few of our design specialties include Universal Design, Better Living Design, and Aging in Place.
SUMMARY:
This position will require you to be comfortable working in diverse settings to produce steady and functional infrastructures and have an eye for detail.
SKILLS AND RESPONSIBILTIES:
- Able to read blueprints and technical drawings
- Accurately take measurements
- Cut, shape, and smooth lumber and other materials (e.g., fiberglass) according to measurements
- Build window frames, doors, and staircases
- Install hardwood floors, siding, cabinets, drywall, and insulation, while creating little waste
- Air sealing
- Tiling
- Painting and finishing
- Roofing
- Inspect products and conduct repairs or maintenance as needed
- Assemble/build scaffolding
- Experience in Green Building Practices is a plus+
REQUIREMENTS:
- Previous construction experience
- Working knowledge of wood properties and other carpentry materials
- Adhere to all health and safety standards
- Own and use a wide range of tools necessary for all aspects of construction
- Strong attention to detail
- Responsible and organized
- Committed to excellent customer service
- Computer and smart phone proficient
- Critical thinker and problem solver
- Team player / ability to work well with others
- Physical condition and stamina to match this physical role
- Valid WA driver's license and good driving record
