Our behavioral health team features highly trained psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers and licensed clinicians. They provide a variety of mental health services on the inpatient unit as well as in the community.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to serve as the Chair of Psychiatry. This pivotal role will oversee the inpatient unit, psychiatric services, while ensuring the delivery of exceptional care to patients. The ideal candidate will possess proven leadership skills, clinical expertise, and a commitment to improving patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership for the adult inpatient unit, which includes 16 beds–10 voluntary and 6 involuntary–ensuring quality care for individuals experiencing acute mental health conditions.
• Supervise a team of 4 psychiatrists and 4 advanced practice clinicians, guiding their clinical practice, ensuring appropriate coverage, and fostering professional development.
• Oversee the recruitment, retention, and training of all behavioral health staff, including psychiatrists, clinicians, and support personnel.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives ensuring adherence to best practices, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee outpatient programming, including the management of three community residential programs, ensuring high-quality care and community integration for patients.
• Collaborate with hospital leadership and medical staff to implement and evaluate new policies, procedures, and treatment modalities in behavioral health.
• Ensure that the behavioral health services are integrated with other hospital departments to provide holistic care to patients.
