About the Role & Team:
As a Civil Engineer – Project Hire at Disney Experiences, you will play a crucial role in bringing the magic of Disney stories and franchises to life. This position is integral to the design and development of our theme parks, resorts, cruise ships, and other unique vacation experiences. Your expertise will ensure the seamless integration of infrastructure and utilities, enhancing the overall guest experience. This role matters because it supports the foundation of Disney’s world-renowned attractions and facilities. To be successful, you must be skilled, proficient, an independent worker, and an effective problem-solver.
The Civil Engineering team’s responsibilities include design, analysis, calculations and specifications for hydrology/hydraulics, sanitary and storm sewerage, storm water management, water treatment, potable water and other utilities for the site/area development of an individual facility/attraction, land, or theme park project.
You will report to the Manager, Civil Engineering.
This is a(n) (estimated project length) Project Hire position with no guarantee of permanent placement.
Job Description:
- Prepare and coordinate internal engineering project deliverables as a member of a multi-discipline facility projects team.
- Ensure compliance with local codes, corporate design guidelines, and standards.
- Under senior staff supervision, responsible for civil engineering Design, analyze, and prepare calculations and specifications for hydrology/hydraulics, sanitary and storm sewerage, storm water management, water treatment, potable water, and other utilities.
- Conduct engineering due diligence to ensure project feasibility and compliance.
- Prepare designs and analyses in support of construction contract document production
- Ensure technical quality and conformance to department standards and procedures
- Become familiar with civil sections of the WDI master specifications
- Support the production of construction contract documents.
- Maintain technical quality and conformance to department standards and procedures.
Required Skills:
- 2 or more years of work experience in civil engineering, including the production and use of contract documents for commercial or industrial projects
- Proficient in the use of Civil 3D and analytical software for civil engineering design
- 2 or more years experience in the production and use of contract documents for commercial or industrial projects
Preferred Qualifications
- Engineer-In-Training certification, if not already licensed as a professional engineer
- Experience in theme parks, resorts, cruise, vacation, travel, retail, or consumer industries
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- Professional registration in the field of Civil or Structural Engineering.

The hiring range for this position in California is $103,500.00-$138,800.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
