– Enjoy working on reliability, scalability, resilience, security, and performance limits of infrastructure services. Be curious about how systems work and, more importantly, how they fail. – Software engineer with experience in infrastructure, expected to own significant features from concept to production, involving multi-functional teams – Approach complex issues with creativity, ready to take risks and course-correct effectively to impact the success of the platform – Partner with SRE to triage, investigate, and remediate production issues – Work with teams across Apple to develop features and functionality to meet their infrastructure needs
Minimum Qualifications
- 2+ years of software design and development experience in API-based cloud service orchestration, with an emphasis on “infrastructure-as-a-service” (compute, storage and network virtualization) as a plus
- Java proficiency with a track record of designing and developing scalable web API-based request processing systems (e.g. Spring, Kafka)
- Familiarity with security concepts ( e.g. process isolation, encryption, access control ) or storage solutions (e.g. iSCSI, NFS, cluster file systems) or networking concepts (e.g. SDN, VXLAN, VPC networking, tap devices, multi queue)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical collaborators
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering-related field, or equivalent related experience
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
