Role and Responsibilities:

• Must be able to Program/Set-up/Run Mazak Lathes and Mills
• Review drawings and job instructions to understand the specifics of the machining project.
• Select the appropriate machinery (e.g. lathe, mill, or grinder) and tooling to fulfill the machining project requirements.
• Create project-specific CNC Programs, using SMX/SLX, FANUC, or Mazatrol controllers, to manufacture parts by print specification.
• Monitor the machinery throughout the manufacturing process. Adjust the speed and feed rates as needed to produce a high-quality product.
• Conduct a preliminary inspection upon completion to ensure accuracy and uniformity.
• Record part-specific notes regarding setup, machine parameters, and programming for future reference.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area. Return tooling after each machining project, sweep daily and wash down the machinery as needed.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance tasks such as: monitoring the coolant levels, lubricating the machinery, and replacing air filters. Assist in troubleshooting in the event of machine breakdown.
• Operate forklift to stage/load raw materials and empty chip hoppers.
• Occasionally lift and maneuver raw materials over 40 lbs.

Qualifications and Education Experience:

• Experience Program/Set-up/Run Mazak Integrex. Required 2 years of experience.
• Ability to use precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers to take accurate measurements.
• Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, schematics, and manuals.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with CNC machine shop equipment.
• Experience with Southwestern (TRAK), YCM, or Mazak machinery.
• Experience with SMX/SLX, FANUC, or Mazatrol controllers.
• Communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively as part of a team.
• Time management, organization, and planning skills.
• Proven work ethic with the ability to prioritize, multitask, and adapt.
• Emphasis on professionalism and safety.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
