THE WORK
• Develop NC programs for complex aircraft components machined on 4 and 5 axis CNC machines conforming to engineering model tolerance requirements.
• Analyze engineering models to define part configuration through manufacturing process and determine type and sequence of machining operations.
• Make proper cutter selections for each machining operation with knowledge of proper machining methods specific to titanium, aluminum, and magnesium.
• Select NC Program options to provide the most efficient machining methods and requirements for each part operation.
• Test and modify existing NC programs for engineering changes or program improvements

WHO YOU ARE
You possess a strong technical foundation in NC programming, machining, and model-based software, with experience developing efficient programs for aircraft components. You possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in industry-specific software such as Catia V5 NC and Vericut, and have the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively.
A level 2 employee is early career and typically has around 2+ years of professional experience.

• Machining Experience
• NC Programming experience
• Model based software experience
• Microsoft Office products experience
Desired Skills:
• Bachelors degree plus 2 years experience
• Associates Degree plus 4 years experience
• Catia V5 NC experience
Vericut toolpath verification software experience

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4×10 hour day, 3 days off per week
