We are looking for an intern that will be able to work 20-25hrs a week while still attending classes this fall.

A little bit about us

Siemens Mobility provides efficient and coordinated transportation of people and goods by rail – including rolling stock, rail automation, rail electrification, and service. We craft and manufacture across the entire spectrum of rolling stock, including commuter and regional passenger trains, light rail and streetcars, metros, locomotives, passenger coaches, and high-speed trainsets. Cities and Railroads also rely on us to provide traction-power substations and electricity transmission, as well as signaling and control technology for freight and passenger rail and transit systems.



Internship opening in the field of Business Administration / Commercial Project Management.

The candidate will have the opportunity to work with experienced Siemens Commercial Project Managers on Rolling Stock projects across several US states. This includes autonomously working on dedicated work packages in close interaction with the project team and finance teams.



The candidate will attend internal project meetings, work with Commercial Project Managers and Project Managers in the US and abroad and support commercial execution of existing projects in the Rolling Stock Passenger Coach business. Specifically, the candidate will support the areas of project cost controlling, forecasting, reporting, and risk management.

This position requires basic knowledge in cost controlling and accounting as well as experience with Microsoft office word and excel. It further requires strong communication and organization skills, and attention to detail. Rolling Stock continues to advance their digitalization of finance so any additional skills with dashboard tools like Tableau and Power BI is a plus.



The candidate must take initiative and work autonomously to ensure progress and to complete delegated tasks before deadlines.

The candidate will get exposure to various aspects of financial controlling and reporting and support key project and business initiatives.


Interest in finance, business administration, project controlling or analysis – Great opportunity for someone with school concentration in Business or Accounting to learn how to apply analytical skills and exposure to various types of reporting.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be pursuing a bachelor’s or advanced degree in Engineering – Mechanical, Electrical, Computer or similar from an accredited college or university
  • Legal authorization to work in the US is required
  • Must reside or go to school near internship location (insert location)

Preferred Qualifications


  • Preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • Previous internship experience or relevant school projects
  • Strong communication skills – verbal and written
  • Ability to work on a team
  • Interest in learning about the rail industry – project management, customer service operations, manufacturing, etc.

The hourly pay range for this position is $22 – $26 per hour, based off your projected graduation year. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location. Additionally, interns for Siemens are eligible to contribute into our 401K program.
